[Macintosh] How to Edit the Hosts File in Mac OS X with Terminal

 sudo /nano /private/etc/hosts

Write out (Ctrl + O) 

EXIT (Ctrl + X) 

 dscacheutil -flushcache;sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder
